English whisky deserves to be celebrated
It’s been 20 years since permission was granted for the first new whisky distillery in England in over 100 years, the last having closed in 1903. Since then, there’s been massive growth, and English single malt is currently approaching legally protected geographical indication status.
Six bottles – introduced, discussed, enjoyed.
It is still a young industry with many of the 55+ operational distilleries still years away from bottling a whisky. Nevertheless, join us for an evening exploring whisky from the distilleries that have been around long enough. And in the years to come, we’ll see how the already diverse offerings evolve.
